Quote of the Day

Changing the rules of the game in the middle of the game is not proper. the date of the primaries for head of the Likud has already been set for January 6, and there is no reason to change it.

  -- Gideon Saar

Does his speaking up now about this indicate anything about the veracity fo the rumors of a short-lived time out from politics and an upcoming return in order to run against Netanyahu in the primaries?

  1. I am not sure what Saar's comments might indicate about himself, but I do think that they are justified and that other Likud functionaries should make this point as well.

Netanyahu's recent behavior makes him look like someone who believes that the Likud party is his private business which he can alter however he wants whenever he wants.

I think that it is time for Bibi to start acting more like a national leader and less like a petty politician.
And I agree that many other politicians are now behaving in extremely petty ways, as well, but that does not justify this behavior by anyone, and certainly not by someone who sees himself as a serious national leader.
